According to Hollywood journalistOscar-nominated Andy Garcia has officially signed on to star alongside Jason Statham and Sylvester Stallone in Lionsgate and Millennium Media’s fourth installment of their action franchise The Expendables. He will play the role of a CIA agent responsible for accompanying the titular team in its dangerous mission. Production is expected to start next month.
Garcia is best known for his performances in crime films such as Brian De Palma The Untouchables, Francis Ford Coppola The Godfather Part III, and that of Steven Soderbergh Eleven from the ocean films, all of which featured star-studded sets. He recently worked with Statham in Guy Ritchie’s Anger of man movie.

Consumables 4 will be led by Scott Waugh (Act of bravery, Need of speed) from a screenplay written by Spenser Cohen with revisions by Max Adams and John Joseph Connolly. Joining Statham’s Lee Christmas and Stallone’s Barney Ross are returning actors Dolph Lundgren (Creed II) and Randy Couture (Backfire) who reprise their roles as Gunner Jensen and Toll Road.
The new installment will also feature newcomers to the Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson franchise (Power), Megan Fox (Until death) and Tony Jaa (Monster hunter).

New Consumables The episode is produced by Statham, Kevin King Templeton and Les Weldon Yariv Lerner, Jeffrey Greenstein and Jonathan Yunger on behalf of Millennium Media. Millennium Media executive producers are Avi Lerner, Boaz Davidson and Trevor Short with Christa Campbell and Lati Grobman on behalf of Campbell Grobman Films. The co-producer is Abby Mills. Eda Kowan and Jonah Leach will oversee the film for Lionsgate.
Lionsgate will release the film in the US, Canada, and UK.
