Grand Plaza Mövenpick Media City announces new Director of Marketing and Communications


Jera Hermosa has been promoted to Grand Plaza Mövenpick Media City. She is now the new Marketing and Communication Director of the 5-star hotel in Dubai.

Jera graduated in Tourism Management from the Philippines and has 9 years of experience in the hospitality industry. She moved to the United Arab Emirates in 2018, joining Melia Desert Palm Dubai as Sales and Marketing Coordinator, helped with campaigns and rebranding the property, then later joined Millennium Hotels & Resorts within the Millennium Atria Business Bay Pre-Opening Team.

In 2019, she was appointed Marketing & Communication Executive at Grand Plaza Mövenpick Media City. Managed all digital channels and executed 360 hotel marketing campaigns including rooms, meetings and events, spa, food outlets, positioning the property as the premier 5 star hotel in Dubai Media City. She developed digital content and social media strategies for all segments and shaped the visual assets for the spa rebranding in 2021.

A digital marketing geek with a keen interest in social media and content creation, Jera breaks established hotel marketing models with a trendy and effective approach. From orchestrating photo and video shoots to in-house graphic design, Jera has proven to be a content machine calibrated to deliver successful organic and paid cross-network campaigns, amplifying engagement and social echo that have translates growth into high value in public relations and brand awareness.
