Recruiter.com Group Inc., an industry leader in on-demand recruiting solutions, said candidate sentiment in its Monthly Recruiter Index increased for the first time since November 2020.
Announcing the index results for September, the company said candidates prioritize pay (31%), remote work (28%), work-life balance (22%) and new experiences. (16%).
The percentage of hybrid roles increased significantly, to 42% from 26% in August.

Referring to disappointing non-farm payroll figures released by the Labor Department last week, Recruiter.com said a steady increase in the number of replacement positions could explain the overestimation.
The September jobs report found that only 194,000 jobs had been added, significantly lower than the estimate of 500,000.
âLast month it was 44% more than 40% the month before, and now it’s 50%. So 50% of the positions recruiters work on are replacements for new ones,â the CEO explained. Evan Sohn on CNBC’s The Exchange.
Recruiter.com said the âgolden age of recruitingâ continues as demand for recruiting professionals has increased by 10%.
When recruiters were asked which roles they see the most requests for, it revealed that the top 10 included:
- IT / software engineering: 35% (+4 from August)
- Recruitment / Staffing: 21% (+10 from August)
- Health / Medicine: 15% (+1 from August)
- Accounting / audit: 10% (-2 from August)
- Business services: 10% (-3 from August)
- Logistics: 10% (+5 from August)
- Restaurants / food and drinks: 10% (+0 from August)
- Financial services: 8% (+0 from August)
- Pharmaceuticals / Biotech: 8% (+2 from August)
- Architecture / engineering: 6% (-4 from August)
