Swiss Music fintech company Utopia Music has appointed Thomas Steinbrueck as the new Head of Brand and Design. Steinbrueck will be based in Zug and Berlin and will report to Markku Makelainen.
Steinbrueck will take office in January after stepping down from his current role as Creative and Branding Director at Joyn, Germany’s multi-channel entertainment streaming platform.
Throughout his career, Steinbrueck has led a range of international brands through creative and branding changes. In 2016 he was appointed Creative Director of Reebok where he created a new branding and marketing strategy, reformed the entire design, marketing and digitization.
âWe are proud to announce that Thomas Steinbrueck will join the Utopia family from next January,â said Makelainen. âThomas’s long career in successfully transforming and modernizing brands into iconic and highly visible powerhouses is why we believe he is the right fit for the job. His talent will only add to our vision and help us make âfair pay for every pieceâ a reality in the music business. “
Steinbrueck said, âI am delighted to be building Utopia and to help Markku and the team achieve true transparency for such an important industry. I have worked with fashion, automotive and sportswear. So my new frontier is music and helping the creators and the value chain really reach its potential, that really resonates with me. “
